The Reserve Bank of India has finally released the much-awaited notification of the year in the banking sector for the post of Assistant. According to official notification a total of 926 candidates are to be selected as Assistant in the year 2019-2020. RBI Assistant recruitment will be done through online mode . There will be two phases Preliminary and main examination followed by a LPT test for those who are filling the application from other state to check their proficiency in the Regional language. The application for RBI Assistant recruitment will begin from 23rd December 2019 and last day to fill the application form is 16th January 2020. RBI has introduced sectional timing in RBI Assistant Prelims  exam . RBI Assistant exam will take place on 14th and 15th February 2020 this year.

Changes introduced in RBI Assistant Exam Pattern
This time like other banking examination, RBI has introduced sectional timing in prelims as well. Now aspirants have to face sectional timing in both preliminary and mains examination. LPT round will also be conducted for the students applying from another state which is qualifying in nature.

According to official notification of RBI Assistant 2019, a total of 926 candidates will be selected this year for the post of Assistant in various offices of the bank in the country. Vacancies are released as per the requirement in the RBI offices throughout the country.

III. Language Proficiency Test (LPT) - The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below). Candidate not proficient in the Official / Local Language shall be disqualified.

Important Note:
i) The above online test/s except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
ii) Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests of the online examinations
iii) A candidate has to qualify in Preliminary Examination for appearing in Main Examination.
iv) There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests (Preliminary and Main examination). 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
